Working Yet Enjoying the Season!

Good Evening!!!!! I wanted to share this picture of our beautiful tree. I always enjoy the fall color and this year it is just spectacular. I love driving and viewing the leaves and this day is a wonderful sunny day for it!
I have been so busy trying to get our new showroom ready for our Christmas Open House that I almost missed the fall colors.
I thought I would share a few pics of what I have been doing. I am going for a more woodsy look on the porch of my building so this is what I came up with today.
I love this potting stand and I decided to carry it on throughout the winter as well. I picked the pine cones off our trees and then took some scissors and snipped of some greens too. I may add some cranberries when it is closer to the open house!
This is the beginning of the woodsy look...with a little sparkle.I will be working on my window house tomorrow as well. I have to have it all complete for this Saturday. We are having a large group of  women visit us on Saturday for a lunch date and shopping. I still have much to complete but I want it to be perfect for their visit. They had asked me to have Christmas ready for them and I am almost ready. I know it seems early but Nov.7-8 is our Open House and this will give me a little extra time to polish everything up for our show.
We will be opening our new building in November and today we were hanging the chandy and building the check out counter..wish us luck that we finish the details by Thursday so I can breathe.
I never dreamed we would be this busy and I feel so blessed by all our customers and all the ways they support us! We come so many friends who follow us each sale and I so love that! I have met so many new friends and I am truly blessed.
We are winding down really. It is our busy season but after that we will close for the season until Mother's Day when we start again! This will give us time to regroup and reorganize and decide on changes for next year! So stay tuned!

Preparing for Our November Open House

Well, I have to say I have been swamped. With our October sale over we are on to our Christmas Open House in November. Our October evening sale turned out to be a huge success! Our customers are the best and they came and shopped and sat on the patio! It was a beautiful evening and we had a wonderful time.
Next month is when we open our new building so I am working night and day. I am making some progress. This is the back room of my building and I am in love with everything there!
I found this house??? building??? at an auction. I may not know what it is but I am in love with it!
And this musical not it too!
We have many new ornaments both fun and beautiful. So it has been keeping me more than busy. I had a friend come and help me last week and that did give me a jump start too. I adore Christmas and I am wondering when I will find the time to decorate my own home. We are having our usual Thanksgiving and this year we are having a family Christmas and a party with friends..and did I say we are going to be open every weekend???
I feel so blessed by all the people who has support my business. We have now reached our one year mark and I can not believe how busy I have been. It seems like we work but never get caught up!
Once our products are sold we will be closing for a few months to rest and make plans for next year!

Before Picture of a Real Beauty

Dear friends, I have been working so hard today. I found this piece at a garage sale and I fell it love with it.  I know it is difficult to tell by my pictures but it is a terrible shade of yellow with gold trim.
I have decided to keep this one for my living room so we delivered it to our foyer for a make-over. It is not ideal but right now everything is full of furniture for our Christmas Open House in November.
I had already started to take a drawer out before I remembered to take a picture but I wanted you to see the curve in the doors.
This is a little closer so you can see the top trim and the gold as well. It is just a terrible combination but a little paint and it will be as good as gold.
There is a similar trim on the bottom. I spent 5 hours painting today so it no longer looks like this but it is not done.I had two other pieces that needed some attention so I had to stop working on it. I will not have time to finish it tomorrow since I am taking a road trip tomorrow with dd and sil.
I am excited to get this one done and then I will share it in it's new spot!

Preparing for October

Dear Friends, I have been so busy with the shop that I have not started much of the decorating for our home. There is so much to do and time is growing short for some of the things that I wanted to complete. I am taking a break today to rest and to finish my thoughts.
I am in love with some of the new items for the shop. The black and white look so crisp. I am sure they will be a big hit.

This little chalkboard is just the cutest!!!
I am also in love with this newest clock. I have been waiting on it since last February.  I am going to try to put together the bling for the other part of the shop and then I will share those pictures as well. Spent the day at an auction with my SIL and brother and we could not stop laughing. It was nice that they could go with me since dh was busy. I did purchase a new piece of furniture for my home and I will share it soon!
